Air Emission Licensing
- Permit Applications
- Compliance Analysis
- Modeling Protocols
- Screening and Refined Modeling
State implementation of the Federal 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments continues to force manufacturers with existing small to medium size utility plants to install Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT). For new or retrofit emissions sources, a Best Available Control Technology (BACT) analysis must be provided with the air emissions permit application. TSI works with our clients to minimize capital expenditures and maximize operational flexibility while satisfying these environmental regulations which are designed to minimize emission of controlled pollutants (NOx, VOC, CO, SO2, TSP, PM10).
Another requirement for facilities with the "potential to emit" so-called major amounts of pollution is air quality dispersion modeling. TSI maintains a library of current EPA approved dispersion modeling software in order to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements. TSI's highly qualified staff can provide site-specific RACT analyses, BACT analyses, and screening/refined dispersion modeling at very competitive rates. Our primary goal is always to minimize the capital and operating costs associated with pollution abatement equipment, if necessary, while maximizing facility-wide operational flexibility.
